Cultural and community ventures

• Youth Group: We will plan sporting and educational activities with the youth on a regular basis, including a few lessons on Samoan cricket - Kilikiti.
• Taro Plantation: We will work with the youth group in the taro plantation, clearing land and learning skills of planting taro and other crops.
• Ukulele Revolution: Joe is a keen ukulele player and is concerned that the younger generation are not carrying on the tradition of playing the ukulele. Joe has sourced some ukulele teachers for the summer and  Auckland-based Play it Strange, headed by Mike Chun, have donated 12 ukuleles to the cause.
